THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Star Melissa Ordway Devastated by the Death of Her Dog, Buddy
Over the weekend, Melissa Ordway (Abby, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) and her husband Justin Gaston (ex-Ben, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) announced their dog Buddy was missing, and on Monday morning, sadly reported that he had died.
“Thank you to everyone who has been out searching for our best friend,” she posted. “We are humbled by the outpouring of love.
“I’m heartbroken and devastated to report that we have found Buddy and he is in heaven now,” she continued. “We had the privilege of being his parents for the last five years. He was a cuddle bug, a gentleman, Liv’s main squeeze, our protector, and our all-around best friend. His name suited him.”

“I know you are chasing squirrels in heaven and we will see you again some day,” Ordway concluded. “You are now our protector from heaven and our guardian angel. Words cannot express how much we love you.”
The flood of love and support both during Buddy’s disappearance and after news of his death was revealed has touched the actress deeply. “We are heartbroken and devastated at the loss of our best friend, Buddy,” she tweeted. “Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers.”
