Watch The Real ROOM 8!

The show is the brainchild of B&B’s executive producer and headwriter Bradley Bell, who tapped castmembers Karla Mosley (Maya) and Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter) to write a real version of the show-within-a show. Having previously collaborated on a comedy series called WED-LOCKED, the actors were more than up for the challenge.

“When we got the call from Brad to write [Room 8] and be involved in the creation of an actual series, it was a big surprise,” says Mosley, who explains that she and Saint-Lawrence fleshed out the web sitcom’s eight-episode story arc during downtime on the B&B set.

“We ended up shooting the whole thing in one day,” adds Saint-Victor of the five-minute segments. “The crazy part was, after a ten-hour day of shooting ROOM 8, we still had to come back and shoot our scenes for [B&B] the next morning!”

B&B’s web spin-off will continue airing into September, with previous episodes remaining online. “We’re catering to those people who may check it out later and might just want to watch the episodes back-to-back-to-back” says Mosley.

In addition, Mosley and Saint-Victor will be live Tweeting during the east coast airing of B&B at 1:30 pm EST on Friday, August 9, as the episode revolves around everyone gathering for the premiere screening of ROOM 8.
