Tyler Johnson Opens up About Meeting Y&R's Many Fans

While Tyler Johnson (Theo) was familiar with THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and all things Genoa City because of his late grandmother, he admits that he’s been shocked at how large the soap’s fan base is. “I have people that I went to high school with reaching out to me since I started on the show”, he grinned to Soaps In Depth. “It’s sort of like this invisible fan base that pops up in certain situations.”

Even the owner of a restaurant that Johnson has been frequenting in his neighborhood for years watches the sudser. “I walked in one time, and he greeted me as Theo! I hadn’t a clue in the world that he was a Y&R fan!” laughs the actor. “A lot of my peers are watching. It’s been a really nice surprise!”
