On the Fifth Anniversary of Her Death, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Stars Share Heartfelt Memories of Jeanne Cooper

Tags:

It was five years ago on May 8, 2013, that the daytime community lost one of its brightest stars, the legendary Jeanne Cooper, who played Katherine Chancellor on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS. Just a week before she passed away, her final episode of Y&R aired. Fans will always remember Katherine saying “Goodnight” to Jill as she went upstairs for the last time.

On the fifth anniversary of Cooper’s passing, some of her Y&R family expressed their love for their beloved castmate. “I miss her so,” Doug Davidson (Paul) declared simply on Twitter. And Kelly Kruger (Mac) recalled the screen veteran’s influence on the other members of the soap’s cast. “As we remember Jeanne Cooper today I can’t help but think of the impact she had on so many,” she tweeted. “For me, personally, she gave me the best acting advice I carry with me to this day. ‘Act every scene as if it’s the last scene you will ever do. This way you will always give your hundred percent.’”
