Finally realizing where Adam has gone, Phyllis tracks him down to reconnect with her partner in crime. But as Adam sets up the table for a poker game, she warns him she's keeping it low-stakes. "We'll play with chips," she agrees, "but we're not playing for money." But what is Adam's game?
Theo made quite a splash when he arrived in Genoa City, but not everyone is as enamored of the guy as he seems to be with himself. Devon sits him down at Society for a harsh conversation. "Your ego and your ambition have become serious liabilities," he declares. "You are no longer employed by any division of Hamilton/Winters in any capacity." Now what will Theo do?
Having faked his own death to smoke Adam out, Victor has decided that it's time to return to life… and Newman Enterprises. "It's time to make a bold move," he informs Nikki. But she's worried that his actions are having the opposite of the intended effect. "You need to pull this family together instead of pushing it further apart," Nikki warns her husband. Having been appointed to run the company during her father's "death," Victoria is upset at being pushed aside yet again and confronts her father. "I should be running Newman," she insists. "And if you refuse, then consider our relationship over." And when Victor refuses to back down, Victoria warns him: "I'm gonna come after you with everything that I've got." In Victor's office, she hurls a letter opener into her father's portrait on the wall and vows: "You're not getting away with it this time, Dad."
