THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Sharon Case and Gina Tognoni Reunited in NYC

Tags:

Phyllis and Sharon didn’t always get along on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, but actresses Gina Tognoni and Sharon Case are good friends who recently caught up over dinner and drinks in New York City! “I couldn’t post this picture fast enough,” Tognoni declared. “Sharon Case #2020 can’t wait. See you soon, beauty girl. And yeah, our chemistry… no mystery! LOL, thanks!” Case commented: “I adore you, Gina! It was so much fun to see you tonight in NYC!” She then went on to repost the same photo to her own Instagram account with a caption that was just a slight variation on her comment.

Naturally, some of their Y&R friends shared their own comments on both posts, like Jessica Collins (ex-Avery) calling them “Beautiful!” and Camryn Grimes (Mariah) sharing a series of heart emojis. Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) declared: “You both look gorgeous!” and Jason Thompson (Billy) referenced Tognoni’s comment about “Sharon Case 2020” and asked: “Are you running for office, Sharon Case? I’m in!”

With her former soap roles as Kelly Cramer on ONE LIFE TO LIVE and Dinah Marler on GUIDING LIGHT, Tognoni had been living on the East Coast until joining the cast of Y&R in 2014 as the new Phyllis Summers. However, after exiting the soap in the spring of 2019, the actress returned home again but even with an entire continent between them, it’s clear that her Y&R friends are never far away.

Check out more of Tognoni’s fun pics with her friends in the gallery below!
