Ever since Rey Rosales showed up, he’d been talking about his estranged wife, and she eventually arrived in Genoa City to stake her claim on her hubby! Noemi Gonzalez made her debut as Mia in the Nov. 12 episode of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS. “Yes!” tweeted Jordi Vilasuso (Rey) when the news broke online. “Welcome to Genoa City, Noemi!”
Rey wasn't particularly forthcoming with details of his personal life when he first came to Genoa City, but it was clear that things between him and Mia were not good and hadn’t been for a while. When she first arrived in town she quickly acted as though everything was wonderful as Rey's behavior made it clear things definitely weren't. Noticing how close her husband and Sharon Newman had become, Mia quickly made it clear to the blonde that she should back off because Rey is a married man. Rey's brother, Aurturo Rosales, also didn't seem particularly thrilled to see Mia, and at the Jaboutique party, Abby was stunned to overhear why — he and Mia had slept together!
Mia has continued to settle into Genoa City society, using her talents as a makeup artist to get in good with folks like Nikki Newman. But even as she makes a big show of fawning all over Rey and seeming to want to repair their marriage, Mia still has some lingering feelings for Arturo she's not quite willing to give up on!
Gonzalez made her feature film debut in the horror movie Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, where she played Evette Arista. She can also be seen in The Vatican Tapes, Traces, and The Tax Collector. On the small screen, she starred as Soli Gomez in the Hulu series EAST LOS HIGH and also appeared in episodes of THE KICKS, ROSEWOOD, and DARK/WEB. Y&R marks Gonzalez’s daytime debut.
