The Photo That Had Some THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Fans Believing Camryn Grimes Is Pregnant!

Daytime star Camryn Grimes (Mariah, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) had some fans wishing her congratulations when she posted a photo of herself with a baby bump to her Instagram page. But they obviously didn’t read her caption, which explained that this was a photo taken a trailer while shooting a pilot for CBS! “Still hoping this pilot sees the light of day,” the actress declared. “Had so much fun working on the first episode of THE GET!”

THE GET centers around a team of internet journalists who pursue and expose stories of injustice using unconventional investigative techniques and stars Claire Forlani, Amy Brenneman, and Brad Garrett. DAYS OF OUR LIVES alum Blake Berris (ex-Nick) also appears in the pilot as Stewart Jenkins. Grimes is only listed in the show’s IMDb page as “Pregnant Amy,” which would seem to indicate she was just a guest star, so if the series went into production, it wouldn’t impact her job at Y&R.

Grimes rejoined the cast of Y&R back in January of 2014 as Mariah Copeland, who looked remarkably similar to Cassie Newman, the character she played from 1997 until 2005 when the teen was killed off. While the actress made occasional appearances as Cassie’s spirit, she returned full-time in the brand-new role of Mariah who was later revealed to be Cassie’s twin sister, separated at birth.

Grimes has guest starred in quite a few primetime series over the years and enjoys sharing backstage pics from the sets. Just a week earlier, she posted a flashback photo from her role as Edna Reed in full ‘40s costume from a 2009 episode of COLD CASE!

Grimes is a talented performer who has been nominated for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress four times, taking home the trophy in 2000. So we look forward to seeing her on screen both on Y&R and wherever else she may end up. (And of course, whenever she is making appearances outside of daytime, we’ll be sure to let you know so you can tune in!)
