Adrian Rosales on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS — Everything You Need to Know

Tags:

That’s actor Jay Montalvo playing Lola’s father, Adrian Rosales, on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS. He made his debut in the Aug. 16 episode when he crashed his baby girl’s wedding ceremony. The soap had kept the casting under wraps so that viewers would be just as surprised by his arrival as the characters. And like all bad pennies, he’s turned up yet again!

Adrian has a history of cheating on his wife and abandoning his kids, so let’s just say that nobody is the Rosales family is his biggest fan. Although her family tried to keep Adrian hidden, Lola Rosales caught sight of her dad and although he made an impassioned speech, she couldn’t find it in her heart to forgive him and was clearly upset that he had come to her wedding uninvited. Celeste Rosales confronted her husband and chased him off, officially breaking things off with the guy. Later, Adrian tried to talk to Rey Rosales, but he also wanted nothing to do with his father.

Y&R isn’t actually Montalvo’s first appearance in daytime, as he played D.A. Benjamin Lazaro for a handful of episodes on ABC sudser GENERAL HOSPITAL back in 2013. Viewers might also recognize him as Emilio Castillo from HACIENDA HEIGHTS or from his guest appearances on series like SPIN CITY, AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., or JANE THE VIRGIN. Montalvo has also appeared on the big screen in films like Get Shorty and S.W.A.T..
