Tipped off by Brooke that Ridge interfered with the custody case, Bill couldn’t get her to admit the truth, and decides to go get proof on his own. As Ridge meets with Judge McMullen in a parking lot, Bill and Justin are parked nearby with a parabolic microphone picking up their every word. So when the judge reminds Ridge: “We committed conspiracy,” Bill gets it on record. Suddenly Ridge realizes they’re being watched. “He’s here!” he shouts, looking around. “Spencer’s on to us!” Bill and Justin tear out of the lot as Ridge runs after them, too slow on foot to catch up.
Later, in the Spencer offices, reviewing the recording, Justin informs Bill, “It’s all right here. Everything we need to nail Forrester.” And now that he has proof that Ridge tampered with the judge in Will’s custody case, Bill gets ready to make his next move. First, he summons Thorne and Katie to his office to let them know he’s aware of how they managed to win custody. “What Ridge did was criminal,” he warns. “Tampering with a judge?” Katie freaks out and blasts Ridge for his irresponsible actions. “I could lose my son!” she angrily declares. Having already planted the seeds of revenge, Bill next confronts Ridge and Judge McMullen personally. “I could have you both sent to prison,” he threatens.
