Sending get well wishes to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL star Rena Sofer (Quinn), who injured herself while playing tennis! The actress shared a photo of her swollen right foot wrapped in an ice pack (secured by what looks like a shoelace!) on Instagram and reported: “So this happened… best tennis of my life so far. Damn that high ball!”
It sounds as though Sofer went leaping for the ball and came down too hard on her foot. She did share another photo of her foot resting on the dashboard of her car while parked outside of a CVS where we’re sure some Good Samaritan drove her to run inside pick up something to help her. Because her ankle is visibly swollen and that bruise is not being caused by the shadow in the windshield. Yikes!
By the next day, Sofer looked to be on the mend, sharing a photo of herself on her phone with her leg propped up on her knee and her ankle tightly bandaged. “Having a doggie play date with Ed from Pawparent while keeping my ankle elevated and E-mailing my doctor.” Hard to tell if the swelling has gone down from this angle, but it definitely looks better!
Ultimately, Sofer reported that she'd broken her ankle, but was getting support from B&B castmate Lindsey Godfrey (Caroline). “I’m getting better with many thanks to Linsey who is using her expertise to help get me on my feet,” she tweeted. “Or foot. And she got me up and walking!” Fans might recall that back in February of 2015, Godfrey was hit by a car and eventually made a full recovery. In fact, her injury was written into Caroline’s story on the soap so Godfrey could come back to work while still in a cast! “We are both incredibly stubborn!” Godfrey declared on Twitter. “Ha ha! Neither of us have time to be injured! Rena is so amazing! She’s so strong!”
Sofer has also revealed that she's not wearing a cast, only a boot, so the soap may not have to write it into her character’s storyline. But seeing as how Quinn and Sheila have been having one vicious catfight after another, it wouldn’t be too difficult to do!
