Hope was somewhat unnerved by the fact that her recent engagement to Liam was instigated by Steffy, but she was nevertheless giddy with happiness. Liam ex-pressed his displeasure with Steffy for taking charge of the proposal, but she was matter-of-fact about the realities of the situation. Putting her nose to the grindstone, Steffy focused on matters of business and announced to her colleagues that she’d be returning to the runway to model lingerie from the Brooke’s Bedroom line! Despite his reservations about the decisions she was making in her personal life, Ridge told his daughter that he was proud of her for taking her life back into her own hands. Steffy kept a stiff upper lip in her interactions with Hope, but later broke down with Liam when they discussed his latest engagement. Though both grieved the finality of their romance, they also vowed to set a good example for their daughter.
Xander Was in a Pickle
Emma continued to have a bone to pick with Zoe for upstaging her at the Forrester fashion show. Feeling insecure about the gorgeous model’s history with Xander, Emma ordered her to pack her things and get the heck out of Dodge. All this angst was further amplified by the fact that Xander didn’t really seem to mind that his ex was now modeling Forrester wares — specifically lingerie! When Zoe’s new bestie at work, Pam, overheard Emma griping to Hope about her rival, she saw red, especially when Emma begged the blonde to fire Zoe! Xander didn’t give it much thought when Zoe warned him that Emma wasn’t the sweet and innocent young lady he believed her to be, but he was thrown when Maya joined the ranks in badmouthing his girl! Maya told Xander he better get a handle on his complicated love life, lest it affect his work.
Bill’s Epic Fail!
with Wyatt and Sally at the Bikini Bar, Katie worried that her date night would be cut short when Will’s babysitter called in sick. She managed to recruit Bill (via a bit of manipulation) to watch their son so that she wouldn’t have to bow out on Thorne. After sharing a tense minute with Thorne when they crossed paths, Bill found a similar chill in the air when he later tried to interact with his youngest son. Though he made an effort to connect with Will, the little boy didn’t seem very interested in chatting with him. Bill called Katie to let her know things weren’t working out, to which she offered up some curt parenting advice. Finally fed up with playing babysitter, Bill interrupted Katie and Thorne’s romantic night to bring Will back home to his mother!
Taylor Got Ticked!
Asked by Liam to be his best man, Wyatt questioned whether his brother was truly certain about his decision to wed Hope. Meanwhile, finally free to pursue her future with Liam, Hope really wanted to smooth things over with Steffy, which is why she decided to invite her stepsister to the wedding! Steffy accepted the invite, but only if she could bring a plus-one... her mother! Liam was wary of this arrangement, but Hope convinced him that it was the right thing to do. Aghast to learn that Hope had invited both Steffy and Taylor to the upcoming wedding, Brooke tried convincing her daughter to disinvite the pair. Steffy became alarmed when she discovered that Taylor had set out to confront Brooke, so she called Ridge to raise the red flag. Face-to-face with an irate Taylor, Brooke tried to keep things calm, but she lost her cool when her longtime rival started insulting Hope!
