The multitalented Wayne Brady added soap star to his resume with his role as Dr. Reese Buckingham on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL. While the actor’s daughter, Maile Brady, appeared on the soap as Tiffany, he didn't play her fictional father. Instead, Reese was the father of Zoe Buckingham who found himself at the center of a dramatic storyline that changed the canvas in a major way!
Apparently, Brady landed the gig after visiting the set during his daughter’s daytime debut, where he impressed headwriter and producer Bradley Bell so much he was inspired to cast him in the new role. Brady made his debut back at the end of November 2018, and the good doctor soon found himself mixed up with Taylor Hayes, leaping to her defense when she would come under attack by Brooke. But Reese had a history of dating wealthy women and dumping them when he gets what he wanted, and that's just what happened with Taylor!
Reese's interest in the wealthy Taylor made more sense once it became clear that he owed a mysterious thug quite a bit of money for the gambling debts he'd run up! When Zoe's life was threatened, Reese knew he had to do something drastic to get the cash. So when Hope Logan ended up in his clinic in Catalina while he was on duty during the terrible storm, Dr. Buckingham was the one who delivered her baby early and broke the tragic news that the infant had died. However, when Reese later presented Taylor with a baby for Steffy to adopt and introduced her to the mother, Florence, it seemed too good to be true, and it was. The doc had switched babies at the hospital and was selling Hope's infant girl!
Eager to give Kelly a sister, Steffy agreed to the adoption and Taylor helped her pay $250,000 for the child. Reese gave Flo $50 grand for helping with the scheme and gave the rest to pay off his debts. The shady doc then quickly said his goodbyes to Zoe and Taylor before heading back to London. However, when the truth about the baby switch came out, news was relayed to the angry victims that Reese had been arrested and taken into custody. And eventually, it was reported that Reese had pled guilty and would be going away to prison for quite some time.
