Salem is going to be hit with another high-profile exit now that Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) has revealed that she is leaving DAYS OF OUR LIVES. “Oh, I nearly made it as a master of soaps,” she shared on her Instagram page. “Thank you, DAYS, for the memories.” She also used the hashtags “#19years,” “#andthecurtainfalls,” and “#farewell.”
The role of Chloe Lane was Bjorlin’s first major acting role when she joined the soap back in April of 1999. She left in June of 2003 to focus on her singing career but returned by the end of the year. In September of 2005, she departed again to star in the UPN primetime series SEX, LOVE, & SECRETS. She also made guest appearances on shows like JAKE IN PROGRESS and OUT OF PRACTICE as well as in the films If I had Known I Was a Genius and Redline. Bjorlin returned to DAYS again in November of 2007 but once again departed in September of 2011. She made a brief return in 2013, and then again in 2015 for a couple episodes to celebrate the soap’s 50th anniversary. After another visit in January of 2016, Bjorlin returned to DAYS full-time in June of 2016.
With Lucas’ recent departure, Chloe was left without a love interest, but there were more than a couple eligible bachelors in Salem she could have pursued — or that could have pursued her! Unfortunately, that now doesn’t seem likely as Chloe will also be on her way out of town. Might she go off to join Lucas in Europe? At this time there are no details regarding her exit storyline or exactly when Bjorlin will last air on the soap. As more information is released, we’ll be sure to let you know. Also, seeing as how the actress has come and gone from DAYS multiple times over the years, hopefully she'll bring Chloe back again in the future!
