All good things must come to an end, and so does Marci Miller’s run as Abigail Deveraux on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. The actress shared a heartfelt Instagram post after wrapping her final day of shooting on the NBC soap that includes a video of her playing the piano and singing a low-key version of the classic song “I”ll Be Seeing You.”
“And just like that, two very meaningful years have come and gone,” Miller said. “I have been loved so well today. I will miss this cast. I will miss these people. I will miss this place. I am both heavy and light at the same time. Much love to all, you have left just the sweetest impression on me.”
After a series of roles in independent films, Miller joined the cast of DAYS in November of 2016, taking over the character last played earlier that year by Kate Mansi. Abigail returned from the dead and rekindled her relationship with Chad, although there were many obstacles that stood in their way. Most recently, Abigail was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder after it was revealed she’d killed Andre DiMera. And although Miller is leaving, Abby's story will still continue as the previous Abigail, Kate Mansi, will be returning to the role.
Shortly before announcing her exit from DAYS, Miller earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress for her work as Abigail. With talent like hers, she’s sure to go far. And we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on all her new projects as she pursues her career in Hollywood and beyond.
