Long Live The QUEENS OF DRAMA!

The new reality series QUEENS OF DRAMA, set to debut on Pop starting Sunday, April 26, at 10:00 p.m. EST (right after The Daytime Emmys!), features a bevy of leading ladies from the world of soaps. Donna Mills (Madeline, GENERAL HOSPITAL; Abby, KNOTS LANDING) headlines the cast, which includes Hunter Tylo (ex-Taylor, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL), Crystal Hunt (Lizzie, GUIDING LIGHT; Stacy, ONE LIFE TO LIVE), Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda, GH), and two former PASSIONS stars: Lindsay Hartley (Theresa) and** Chrystee Pharris** (Simone).

The series features the actresses as they try to form a team that will create and star in its own nighttime series. “We’re all strong,” Mills tells Soaps In Depth. “The [other women on the show] have been terrific with me, but they’re strong. They have their ideas, which is good and it made the show really come alive. You see what they want, what gets in the way of that and how they end up getting what they want.”

As KNOTS fans recall, Mills’ Abby was a savvy businesswoman who most always got the last laugh. Will we see her express certain “Abby-isms” throughout the show? “It’s me, not Abby,” clarifies, Mills, then hastens to adds, “There will be more ‘Donna-isms.'”

After its premiere, QUEENS OF DRAMA will settle into its regular time slot on Wednesday, April 29 at 8:00 p.m. EST on Pop for its 10 episode run. Check out the following clip below to get a taste of what the show has to offer — and be sure not to miss the appearance of guest Joan Collins (Alexis, DYNASTY; Alexandra, GL)!
