Kelly Kruger Returns to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS

Tags:

It’s the return of the Mac! Kelly Kruger is back as Mackenzie Browning on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS for some more drama! “Guess who’s back in Genoa City?!” the actress shared on Instagram with a photo of her holding her script as she prepares to enter the set. “There’s nothing like stepping onto this stage first thing in the morning. I love my Y&R family so much! Who’s excited to see Mac?!”

The role of Mac was originally played by Ashley Bashioum, and Kruger took over for her. Although the character was then recast twice more, when the character returned to the canvas as part of the soap’s 45th anniversary celebration, it was Kruger who stepped back into the role. In addition to her recurring role as Eva on Y&R’s sister soap, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, Kruger has been keeping very busy outside of daytime with roles in the films Girls’ Night Out and the upcoming BFF Bride.

The last time viewers saw Mac in Genoa City was back in June of 2018 when she got mixed up in the search for J.T. again. She reported there had been activity on J.T.’s credit card, and it was ultimately revealed that Nick had been impersonating J.T. to torment Victor. Although there are no details as to exactly when Kruger will first air or for how long she’ll be sticking around, it’s likely that Mac’s return will have something to do with Rey’s search for her missing ex-husband. Will J.T.’s death and the subsequent cover-up finally be revealed?
