Inside A Y&R Villain’s MANSIONS!

Even if his last “residence” wasn’t a trash compactor on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, it’s safe to say that *Michael Corbett *(ex-David) has much better digs these days! The actor-turned-executive producer has a series called MANSION HUNTERS, which features an inside look at some of the most glamorous and recognizable digs in Hollywood! You can binge on a marathon run of 8 half-hour episodes of the reality series starting tonight, December 5 at 9:00 p.m. EST on Reelz.

Corbett’s been interested in real estate since his days on Y&R, where he played Nina’s devious husband back in the early ’90s. How’d he get the idea for this show? “I thought it’d be really fascinating to see behind the scenes of these mega-mansions that rent out for $100,000 a day [for movie and TV productions]. I put together a show that’s about the people who put these deals together.”

Some of the stars that have been to the homes profiled in MANSION HUNTERS include movie stars Angelina Jolie, Chris Hemsworth, and Megan Fox. Programs and films that have shot at these places include MAJOR CRIMES, The Aviator, and L.A. Confidential. “There’s nothing out there like this show that combines all the elements of mansions, money, movies, Hollywood and celebrities,” Corbett says.

Stakes run high in closing the agreements between mansion owners and productions so watch for lots of interpersonal dynamics between the folks that work in the firm that negotiates the deals. Featured on the show is Paul Kim, head of Image Locations, and his team of associates which includes Camila More (ex-Gillian, DAYS OF OUR LIVES; ex-Anna, GENERAL HOSPITAL) and her twin sister Carey More (ex-Grace, DAYS)!

While Corbett’s hand is all over MANSION HUNTERS, he won’t be appearing on camera in it. “It’s a departure for me,” he says. Since being presumed dead after accidentally activating a trash compactor in which he was hiding on Y&R, Corbett’s continued to act, but he’s also branched out into hosting for shows like EXTRA and MANSIONS & MILLIONAIRES.

Part of the fun of watching MANSION HUNTERS is spotting which homes and estates were used in the making of your favorite shows. Corbett previews: “One episode talks about where Lady Gaga fell off a balcony in one of her music videos!”
