It’s been a little while since viewers last saw Kevin Fisher, but Greg Rikaart has returned to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS once again! "Here for this," he tweeted when the news of his comeback broke. "Literally." The actor was last seen on Y&R back in February of 2018, but he's been keeping plenty busy playing Leo Stark over on NBC sudser DAYS OF OUR LiVES. He also landed a guest spot on the primetime sitcom MODERN FAMILY. When Rikaart said goodbye to DAYS in March of 2019, many Y&R fans hoped he would bring Kevin back to Genoa City, and it looks as though they'll be getting their wish. Although the soap is keeping details of his return storyline, under wraps for now, they have announced that his first episode will air on Friday, June 7!
Rikaart joined Y&R back in 2003, and after 14 years on the soap, announced his departure in May of 2017. At the time, he admitted he was sad to bid farewell to the soap after so many years, but promised his fans that the future is still uncertain. “At the moment it is still unclear what lies ahead for Kevin and I,” Rikaart wrote, “as we will be saying goodbye to Genoa City for a while.”
Kevin was written off the show alongside Elizabeth Hendrickson’s Chloe and their daughter, Bella, after the law caught up with her. He arranged for them to go on the run and set up in Oregon as a family with new identities. Rikaart returned to reprise his role in the fall of 2017, appearing in a handful of episodes as he helped Victor hack into Nick’s bank account to steal his trust fund, and then again in December when he helped Nikki steal money from Victor!
Unfortunately, while Kevin could return with his daughter, Bella, Chloe is unlikely to be joining her family in a return to Genoa City as portrayer Hendrickson is now playing Margaux Dawson on GENERAL HOSPITAL. And with Adam Newman making a return from the dead, Chloe is probably going to want to steer well clear of the entire family!
