Director’s Guild Nominations Announced!

The Director’s Guild Of America has named seven nominees in the category of Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Daytime Serials for the 2012 DGA Awards, to take place on Saturday, January 28.

Cynthia J. Popp from THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL has received her second DGA nod for the “boinkberries” episode featuring Brooke and Thomas stranded on a deserted island. THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS director Mike Denney has also been nominated, for a third time, for his work in the flashback episode in which Diane, from beyond the grave, shares her perspective on those suspected of her murder.

Rounding out the nominations in the Daytime Serial category are ALL MY CHILDREN’s Casey Childs and Angela Tessinari, GENERAL HOSPITAL’s William Ludell and Scott McKinsey and ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Larry Carpenter.
