Days of Our Lives Spoilers — Why Did Claire Try to Kill Ciara?

For months, everyone has been speculating about who set the fire at the cabin where Ben was nursing Ciara back to health after she ran away. Hope and the cops suspected Ben of returning to his serial killer ways and attempting to kill Ciara, but then it appeared that Tripp had set Ben up to look guilty. But the truth was even more surprising than anyone could have imagined! “Oh my God,” Ciara says to Claire from her hospital bed. “You know, don’t you? Tell me! Tell me who set the fire!” Claire starts trembling and finally cracks. “It was me!” she shouts. “Okay? I’m the one!” Tripp just stares at Claire, stunned as everyone else by the shocking confession.

But now the question remains: Why? Did Claire really hate Ciara that much that she wanted to kill her? Or is there something else going on? And just how unhinged is Claire, really? Will the young woman confess everything or is there still more to be revealed?
