Steve and Kayla must face the heartbreaking truth in these spoilers from DAYS OF OUR LIVES. With his sight gone, it’s up to her love to light the way for their future. Is there nothing anyone can do to save him?
A concerned Kayla stands next to her husband as he sits at his table at the Brady Pub, frowning. “Sweetness,” Steve whispers, almost unable to bring himself to say the words. He shakes his head and confesses: “I can’t see anything.”
Later, a tearful Kayla gently brushes the back of her hand against Steve’s cheek at the hospital as she tries to offer him words of support and encouragement in this impossible situation. “I’m blind,” he insists. “We have to accept that now.” Steve is given dark glasses and a cane that he struggles to use to navigate his new world.

But no matter what happens, Kayla vows to stay by his side. And the fact that Steve has lost the sight in his remaining eye doesn’t change how she feels about him one bit. “You will always be the man I fell in love with,” Kayla declares, her voice cracking with emotion. Tears streaming down her face, she embraces her husband to hold him tightly to her as he sobs helplessly into her shoulder.
