DAYS OF OUR LIVES Spoilers — JJ Contemplates Suicide!

The holidays could lead to tragedy in these spoilers from DAYS OF OUR LIVES. As families gather together to celebrate the season, JJ’s guilt could drive him to do something desperate that would shatter Salem forever!

Most of Salem is preparing for the holidays, including the traditional decorating of the Horton Christmas tree with the ornaments featuring all of their names and those of the ones who are no longer with them. Shawn and Belle are home for the holidays, reunited with their daughter, Claire, and Sonny and Will seem to be on the road to a reunion of their own. But JJ can’t get into the holiday spirit because he is still overwhelmed with guilt over shooting an unarmed Theo in the line of duty. And with Theo lingering in a coma, JJ’s depression continues to spiral out of control.

Visiting the spot in Salem Place where the shooting took place, JJ sees all of the flowers, candles, and a photo of Theo that his loved ones have laid there. “How can I keep on living,” JJ asks, his voice thick with emotion, “when Theo never will?” And his guilt could drive the tortured young man to do something unthinkable. Wearing his dress uniform, the cop holds a gun in one hand and his phone in the other. At the Horton’s, Jennifer takes a call from her son and worries when he says: “Mom, I’ve gotta go now.” As JJ checks to make sure his pistol is loaded, is he seriously considering taking his own life to balance the scales?
