THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Casts Darnell Kirkwood as Jordan Wilde!
Actor Darnell Kirkwood has also been working as a print model, but now he will be stepping behind the camera when joins the cast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as photographer Jordan Wilde beginning on Friday, Feb. 10!
“My mom went crazy seeing her son on a press release for being cast on the number one soap in the US!” Kirkwood wrote on Instagram. “So exciting and looking forward to sharing my successful life as a photographer!”
When his professional basketball career was sidelined by an injury, Kirkwood chose to pursue his entertainment dreams full force through modeling, acting, and performing music. “I have worked very hard at learning the craft and understand the necessity of continuously finding ways to become better at it,” he said on his official website. “I thank God that I have been blessed with a lot of opportunities and a vision. But I don’t do what I do just to make a career out of it and make a lot of money. I do it for every person who feels like their dreams are impossible.”

Kirkwood has appeared in episodes of BURN NOTICE, MAGIC CITY, SCORPION, and BOSCH. Y&R will be his first daytime role. Jordan will be a photographer who works with the crew at Brash & Sassy. “I can’t wait to share Jordan’s story with you guys!” Kirkwood tweeted. “What an honor to a part of such an iconic and amazing show!”
Jordan won’t appear until February, but Kirkwood has already begun taping scenes in Genoa City, tweeting, “Had fun shooting on set today! Got to say, I’m enjoying my day job!”
