As part of CBS Daytime’s celebration of being #1 for 30 years, cast members of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL came together for special events at the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles where they did live readings of the soaps’ first episodes!

Y&R stars Eileen Davidson (Ashley), Eric Braeden (Victor), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki), Peter Bergman (Jack), Kristoff St. John (Neil), Amelia Heinle (Victoria), Sharon Case (Sharon), Christian LeBlanc (Michael), Lauralee Bell (Christine), and Greg Rikaart (Kevin) all take on various roles from the first episode of the soap taped back on March 12, 1973.

Executive producer/headwriter Bradley Bell hosted the reading of the first episode of B&B, read by Heather Tom (Katie), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), John McCook (Eric), Scott Clifton (Liam), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy), Karla Mosley (Maya), Jacob Young (Rick), Alley Mills (Pam), Darin Brooks (Wyatt), and Don Diamont (Bill). Amazingly, Lang and McCook have been around since that very first episode 30 years ago, so they play their own characters, while the other actors play different roles. Check it out!
