Wood Clarifies Status With B&B

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood knows how many THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL fans are itching to see her back on the soap as Steffy, so she took to Facebook to let them know what the deal is. “As much as I love B&B and still wanted to be a part of it,” she wrote, “unfortunately we weren’t on the same page contractually/scheduling/etc.

“These things happen in this industry,” Wood continued, “and I hope all my fans can understand that. I am a huge supporter of [B&B executive producer/headwriter] Brad Bell and the entire cast and crew. Love and kisses to all of my fans. I really do care about you all.”

However, as with many soap stars, Wood also admits the book isn’t entirely closed. “Hey! If characters an be recast, shot, fall down elevator shafts and come back to life months/years later, then never say never!” she adds. “Love you all and will definitely keep you posted on future projects.”

There are reports that B&B is currently casting for a female in Steffy’s age range, so a recast could be on the horizon. How would you feel about that? Sound off in the comments!
