UPDATE: Rowell’s Lawyer Responds To CBS Claim

One of the attorneys representing former THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla) in her lawsuit against CBS and Sony argues that the corporations’ claims that the actress’ case is unconstitutional is… well, false.

“CBS and Sony’s position is no surprise, but it’s certainly misguided,” says Dan Stormer of Hadsell & Stormer, co-counsel for Rowell. “Nothing in the Constitution exempts Hollywood from adhering to this country’s laws prohibiting retaliation against employees who oppose racial discrimination. The core of this case is Ms. Rowell’s free speech — her right to speak out about the lack of diversity at her workplace without reprisal.”
