Two Soap Sweethearts Hit Primetime!

Tags:

CBS soap grads Jennifer Ferrin (Jennifer, AS THE WORLD TURNS) and Brittany Snow (Susan, GUIDING LIGHT) each have a new primetime gig, appearing on respectively, the NBC Monday night dramas THE CAPE and HARRY’S LAW.

Ferrin plays Dana Faraday, the “widow” of Vince — aka “The Cape” — who has had to fake his death in order to keep his wife and son safe while he combats crime. “What’s really awesome about Dana is that she doesn’t exist in this crazy villain world,” Ferrin tells Soaps In Depth. “She’s dealing with extraordinary circumstances. [She’s] surviving and raising her son alone. Nothing’s going to stop her from trying to clear her husband’s name.”

On HARRY’S LAW, Snow plays Jenna Backstrom, a fun-loving, shoe-admiring young woman who serves as a contrast to grumpy Harriet Korn, played by series lead Kathy Bates of Misery fame. “My character and others bring a little bit of hope to Harry who seems to be grumpy and down on life,” reveals Snow. “But she’s actually teaching us in many ways and becoming our sense of hope.”

THE CAPE airs on Mondays at 9 p.m. EST and HARRY’S LAW follows at 10 p.m. If you missed the premiere of HARRY’S LAW last night, you can still get in on the ground floor: Bravo will rebroadcast the first episode tomorrow morning, Wednesday, January 19, at 8 a.m. EST.
