Tragic Loss For B&B Star

As Soaps In Depth reported earlier today, the new year has started off on a rather tragic note for the family of Daniel McVicar (ex-Clarke, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL): The actor’s son, Thomas Henry, known as Hank, has passed away. “We are deeply saddened to say that my son, Hank McVicar, died in an automobile accident in the early morning on January 3, 2011, in Los Angeles, California. He was alone in the vehicle, lost control in the rain, and struck a pole and a tree, and was pronounced dead on the scene,” the actor says in a statement.

McVicar is currently working in Italy, but is returning to the States to grieve with his family. “The McVicar family is deeply touched by the sympathies received, and I am en route to Los Angeles to join his mother and his sister in their grief. I was blessed to have such a wonderful son. He grew up to be a terrific young man, and our hearts grieve.”

Born February 14, 1988, Hank McVicar was just weeks shy of his 23rd birthday. The actor is also father to Margaret. Soaps In Depth sends our condolences to the entire family.
