Zach Tinker Takes Over for Max Erich as Fen on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS

Tags:

Viewers can expect to see Fenmore Baldwin on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS in time for the holidays, but he’ll be looking a little different as Zach Tinker is taking over the role previously played by Max Ehrich. The character was born back in 2006 and after a series of child actors, was aged into a teenager played by Erich from 2012-2015. Look for Tinker to make his daytime debut in the episode airing on Monday, Dec. 3.

Tinker has appeared in primetime series like MURDER IN THE FIRST, NCIS, and YOU’RE THE WORST, but is probably best known for playing Craig Cignarelli in LAW & ORDER TRUE CRIME: THE MENENDEZ MURDERS last year on NBC. While the young actor hasn’t posted about his new role on Instagram yet, he did post a couple of selfies wearing clothes that look like they could be wardrobe tests for Fen. The “business casual” look is very much like something Lauren and Michael’s son would wear on Y&R.

Interestingly, on Nov. 9, Ehrich revealed to fans of the soap that he very nearly reprised his role but a dangerous situation involving a real-life stalker prevented him from doing it. “I was asked to do a special stint back on the show,” he posted to Instagram, “but due to the bizarre stalker issue I had, it was unsafe at the time and I had to postpone. I grew up on Y&R and learned so much. Forever grateful for the privilege of working on such an iconic show. Unfortunately, was unable to be there during that time of filming.”

While Ehrich described his appearance as a “special stint,” which would have likely been just for the holiday season, the soap has not yet announced how long Tinker would be playing the role. So you’ll just have to stay tuned to see what brings Fen back to Genoa City and what kind of drama he stirs up!
