Cooper appeared in numerous films and television programs and earned her first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Performance in a Supporting Role for her work on BEN CASEY. She also received an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series for her appearance on an episode of L.A. LAW, the NBC series that starred her son, Corbin Bernsen (Father Todd, Y&R). Over her years on Y&R, Cooper racked up an impressive 10 Daytime Emmy Award nominations, taking home the gold for Lead Actress in 2008. In addition, she was given a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004.

Her dressing room at Y&R is still in use today and was most recently used by Beth Maitland when she made another return to play Traci. The door to 41C also now bears a plaque that reads: “Jeanne Cooper Dressing Room: The Door Was Always Open.”

On the day when they would have celebrated with Cooper, Y&R stars like Daniel Goddard (Cane), Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren), and Kate Linder (Esther) all shared a birthday wish to their friend who they still miss dearly. You can see some of their heartfelt messages with their photos below.
