According to Variety, Moore will be playing the lead character of Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, who “exudes calmness, but is always ready for action.” This is the character played by Samuel L. Jackson in the 2003 movie this new series will be based on which was, in turn, a reboot of the 1975 TV series that starred Robert Urich.

Moore got his big break as Malcolm Winters on Y&R, a role he played from 1994 until 2005, earning two Daytime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Younger Actor and winning for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2000. He also returned in 2014 as a special guest for two episodes, after the role was played by Darius McCrary from 2009-11.
