Zoe on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS — Everything You Need to Know
A new face arrived in Genoa City when Anna Grace Barlow joined the cast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as Zoe Hardisty on Aug. 15. The soap teased that “Zoe shares a surprising past with a member of Genoa City’s jet set.” And it turned out she was the secret that Theo and Kyle had been hiding from their time in NYC! “Thank you to everyone at Y&R and CBS Daytime,” Barlow gushed on Instagram when the news of her casting broke. “This is a dream!”
Summer Newman pressed Theo Vanderway to confess the secret he was holding over Kyle Abbott‘s head, and he came clean about how while they were partying it up in Manhattan, a young woman got so drunk she ended up in the ER. The pair found out Zoe was underage, and when her father showed up the next day, Kyle paid him off to keep the whole thing quiet. Summer was appalled, but then Theo looked Zoe up online and brought her as his guest to Kyle and Lola’s wedding! Kyle was angry, and Summer wasn’t exactly thrilled that Theo had asked Zoe to stick around Genoa City and work with him. Of course, he’s just using Zoe to stick it to Kyle and try to ruin his life!
Zoe seemed all sweetness and light, but she clearly wasn’t a big fan of Summer, and when she attended the launch party for Abby and Chelsea’s Grand Phoenix hotel, she waited until Theo caused a distraction then drugged the signature drink with Molly to sabotage the event by documenting the drugged-out revelries for social media!
Barlow may be familiar to TV viewers who recognize her from her roles as Zoe on THE FOSTERS or Bethany on SCREAM QUEENS. In addition, she has guest-starred on primetime series like CASTLE, BONES, MAJOR CRIMES, and LUCIFER.
