Alice Hunter Says Goodbye to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS
After just four months with the soap, Alice Hunter has revealed that Kerry is leaving THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS. “To all asking, yes, Kerry is taking an indefinite hiatus,” the actress shared on Twitter. She earns it, though! You’ll see soon enough. I love the arc, even if I’m sad to leave. And yes, a bunch of Y&R cast and crew surprised me Friday and it was something I’ll never forget.”
Hunter made her daytime debut as Kerry Johnson in October of 2018 and quickly landed a primo job working for Phyllis at Jabot and a high-profile relationship dating Jack Abbott. However, she was keeping secrets from her new beau that caused friction in their budding relationship, and although they seemed to have worked things out, Kerry eventually found herself caught in the middle of Jack and Phyllis’ power struggle over the Abbott family business.
Hunter shared a pic from the party with co-stars Gina Tognoni (Phyllis) and Peter Bergman (Jack), who she called: “My mentors. My friends. This journey has been indescribable.”

It sounds like Kerry is leaving Genoa City with a bang, so you’ll definitely want to stay tuned to see how she exits and what the twist will do to propel Jack and Phyllis into the next phase of their own storylines. And depending on how Kerry leaves, there might still be the possibility of a return down the road, you never know in soaps!
