Discussing Deacon and Quinn’s recent split, Bill admits that some couples just aren’t meant to be together. Still stinging from her sister’s betrayal, Katie bitterly suggests that Brooke should throw herself at Deacon again.
Bill tries to ease his wife’s pain, assuring her that he loves her and he will not stop trying to make her feel better. “You went to a dark place,” he says. “It took you away from me and it almost destroyed us. So I will spend every day until my last breath making sure you understand that it never ever has to be that way again.”
