What Happened to Stephen Logan on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL

Stephen Logan on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL hasn’t been on in a while so it’s understandable if some viewers might need a bit of a refresher. And we’re happy to help! The character first appeared in 1988 and was played by Robert Pine. After his last appearance on the soap in 2001, Stephen wasn’t seen again until 2006 when Patrick Duffy took over the role, which he played on a recurring basis until 2011. And in 2022, it was announced that he would be reprising the role again in November.

Stephen Logan was formerly married to Beth Henderson and had four children with her: Storm Logan, Brooke Logan, Donna Logan, and Katie Logan. The couple split when he felt she would never get over her first love, Eric Forrester. Stephanie Forrester tracked Stephen down to bring him to Los Angeles in an attempt to keep Eric away from Beth. Storm and Brooke were not happy to see the father who had abandoned them all those years ago, but he worked to earn their forgiveness. Stephen and Beth eventually left town for Paris when he got a cushy job working for Spencer overseas.

The pair returned occasionally for family events but in 2001, Massimo Marone offered Stephen $5 million if he would convince Brooke to join them in Paris, threatening to make her life in L.A. very difficult if he didn’t. Stephen made his heart condition sound more serious than it really was in order to persuade Brooke to come to France, and when she found out the truth, she was furious with her father.

In 2006, Stephen returned to Los Angeles after running into Ridge Forrester in Paris, and was initially going to urge Brooke to return to Ridge, but he quickly became a supporter of her new beau, Nick Marone. He struck up an affair with Nick’s mother, Jackie Marone, and also slept with Taylor Hayes. When Brooke found out her father had been sleeping with her rival and future mother-in-law, she pushed him out of her life again.

Stephen came back again the following year after Brooke had been raped. Learning of Stephanie’s role in his daughter’s attack, he threatened her life and was later stunned to discover Eric was in a relationship with Donna. After an argument, Storm framed his father for shooting Stephanie. He was also there to support Katie after Storm shot himself and she was given his heart, and also walked his daughter down the aisle when she married Bill.

When Beth’s Alzheimer’s grew worse, Stephen brought her back to Los Angeles in 2010 and Eric invited them to stay in the Forrester mansion. Tragically, during a confused argument with Stephanie, Beth fell into the pool and drowned. Out for revenge, Stephen seduced Stephanie’s sister, Pamela Douglas, convincing her to stop taking her bipolar medication in the hopes of using her as a weapon. But Stephanie convinced Pam that Stephen was just using her and when she got the gun away from her sister, shot Stephen in the arm. He was arrested for attempted murder, but thanks to Bill Spencer, did not have to serve any prison time. Stephen and Pam continued their relationship and even got engaged, but in 2011, Pam revealed that Stephen had left her and moved to Dallas.
