B&B Recaps — Hope Bonded With Her Secret Baby!

Hope had a visceral emotional reaction upon first meeting Steffy’s new baby, Phoebe. When Brooke met the child, she had some tough questions for Steffy — and an uneasy feeling about how the adoption actually came about! Liam hesitated when Hope later asked for another visit with Phoebe, unsure whether it would help or exacerbate her despondency. Steffy was surprised when Hope showed up again asking to see Phoebe. When she suggested that the blonde might soon try for another baby of her own, Hope vehemently shut her down. Steffy tried to offer Hope support and sympathy by reminiscing about the loss of her sister. Hope confessed to Liam and Steffy that when she held Phoebe, she could think of nothing but Beth.

Co-Workers Rallied

Eric told Hope that he and Ridge wanted to put more of the company’s resources into her Hope For The Future line, but this did little to shake her from her sadness. Instead, she broke down at the office and had to be consoled by her Aunt Katie, who later joined forces with Brooke and Donna to plan a pick-me-up morning for the young woman. Wyatt and Sally privately remarked on the similarities between Kelly and Phoebe, and Sally started sketching again to distract her from the sadness she felt for Hope. She presented her sketches to Hope, and Wyatt did everything he could to keep his ex-wife focused on work. Pam even presented Liam and Hope with a special gift in an attempt to ease their pain. Ultimately, the only thing that made Hope feel any shred of relief was to drop by Steffy’s home again to help out with the babies.

Zoe Was Dismayed

While investigating her dad’s whereabouts, Zoe came across Flo staying at his apartment. She interrogated this newcomer, but Flo gave back as good as she got. Zoe confided in Xander about her frustrations regarding Reese and this mysterious stranger in his life. She returned to confront Flo about her involvement with Reese, and became further confused when she learned that the woman also had a connection to Steffy. Her anxiety increasing, Flo sent Reese an urgent text, letting him know that his daughter was starting to put the pieces together. Preoccupied with Flo’s role in Steffy’s recent adoption of Phoebe, Zoe threatened to go to the police (or Steffy) if Flo didn’t tell her everything she knew. Further enlightened from this conversation, a furious Zoe confronted Reese over his involvement in Phoebe’s adoption.

Thorne Blindsided Katie!

On Valentine’s Day, Katie planned a wonderful evening for Thorne, but what she got in return was anything but romantic when he blindsided her with news that left her questioning the commitment they’d made to one another and their future! When Thorne made a suggestion about where (or rather, with whom) he believed Katie’s future lay, she was floored. Katie later filled in Wyatt about the current state of her love life, including Thorne’s theory about her relationship with Bill. Meanwhile, Bill tried out a magic trick on Justin, one he intended to show to Will. He also informed Justin of his plans to win his family back.
