Linsey Godfrey Says a Heartfelt Goodbye to B&B's Caroline Spencer

Even as THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL fans were reeling from the news of Caroline Spencer’s sudden and unexpected death, the character’s portrayer, Linsey Godfrey, is doing just fine playing Sarah Horton over on NBC’s DAYS OF OUR LIVES. But she did manage to find time to mourn her B&B alter ego with a eulogy on Instagram. “Hi everyone,” she posted. “So I just got back from Caroline’s funeral. It was beautiful.

“It appears it’s time to say goodbye to our Caroline Spencer,” Godfrey continued. “I just want to first say a huge thank you to Brad Bell and the entire B&B family. I truly adored every aspect of the wacky, feisty, sassy Caroline. I love my time at BOLD! Don’t be sad. Even though she is gone, I promise Brad and the writers have some awesome drama up their sleeves for you! Thank you for all your support and love over the years! Don’t worry, I hear Caroline has a brunette doctor doppelgänger over in Salem… might be worth investigating.”

Godfrey joined the cast of B&B as the newly-created Caroline back in 2012, and as part of the legacy Spencer family, enjoyed quite a bit of drama over the years. She made her last appearance on the soap back in March of 2018, and then made her debut as another legacy character, DAYS’ Sarah Horton, in October of that same year. So fans who miss seeing the Daytime Emmy Award-nominated actress on B&B might want to check her out over on DAYS. In fact, her character is paired with Rex Brady, who is played by another B&B alum, Kyle Lowder (ex-Rick)! (Although by the time her Caroline showed up and pursued Rick, the role was being played by Jacob Young.)
