That’s Joe Lando as Judge Craig McMullen on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL!

Katie and Bill’s custody battle over their son, Will, on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL needed someone to preside over it, so the soap tapped veteran actor Joe Lando to play Judge Craig McMullen! “Get excited, B&B fans!” the soap tweeted out when the news first broke.

Although probably best known for his role as Byron Sully in the beloved primetime series DR. QUINN, MEDICINE WOMAN, Lando is also popular with soap fans for his previous daytime roles. In 1990, he starred on ONE LIFE TO LIVE as Jake Harrison, one half of the popular Jake and Megan supercouple. And in 1993, Lando joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT as Macauley “Mac” West, an ex-cop who fell head over heels for Mindy Lewis. In more recent years, he starred as John Blackwell on The CW drama THE SECRET CIRCLE, and appeared in the films Earthfall, Casa Vita, and Freshwater

B&B is known for casting well-known faces in cameos or limited runs, such as Robin Givens as Steffy and now Hope’s obstetrician, Danny Woodburn as tech expert Ken, and Don Most as Spectra handyman Pete. Lando made his debut in the Sept. 20 episode and has continued well after he ruled in favor of Katie over Bill in the custody case. That’s because Ridge, who turned out to be an old college buddy of McCullen’s, pressured the judge into siding with Katie. And once Bill learned the truth, all bets were off!
