Behind the Scenes of Brooke and Taylor’s Unforgettable Cake Fight on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL!

The wedding day cake fight between Brooke and Taylor on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL was a lot of fun to watch, and judging from all the behind the scenes photos and video, it was also a blast to shoot! B&B supervising producer Casey Kasprzyk shared a clip of Hunter Tylo (Taylor) doing a little test run of the scene with her shoving the cake into his face for practice. You’ll note there are two cakes in the foreground — always good to have a backup just in case!

Of course, on the actual show, it was Katherine Kelly Lang’s Brooke who took the cake in the face, and Jennifer Gareis (Donna) shared a selfie with her on-screen sister after the taping. “Not again, Brooke!” Gareis joked. “Who takes the cake? Hunter Tylo or Katherine Kelly Lang?”

Lang did a brief Twitter Q&A with fans during the episode and revealed that she adored the blue gown she was wearing for Hope and Liam’s wedding. “I do love that dress!” she exclaimed. “It’s a shame the cake ended up all over it!” But on the plus side, she added: “The cake was delicious! I had it on my face for a while.”

The actress also revealed that she and Tylo managed to pull off the scene in just one take, with no problems. Well, almost! “I slipped on cake in my heels,” Lang confessed, “but thankfully didn’t go down!” She also shared a behind the scenes video taken by her TV daughter, Annika Noelle (Hope) of the actual taping of the scene so you can see it from a whole new angle in real time.

Afterwards, Lang also shared a fun backstage pic with Tylo with both of the daytime divas covered in messy cake. “Sorry for throwing cake in your blow dry, Hunter,” she teased. “Thanks for the cake smash in my face! We had fun, didn’t we? Definitely a day to remember!”
