What Happened to Brooke on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL
Brooke Logan has been on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL since the CBS sudser first premiered back in 1987, so it’s understandable if viewers may not be familiar with her epic history on the soap. The character was originated by Katherine Kelly Lang, although she was briefly replaced by Catherine Hickland and Sandra Ferguson during a medical and maternity leave, respectively. But throughout the decades, one thing has been a constant — no matter what happens to Brooke on B&B, she’ll come out the other side stronger than before!
Brooke fell in love with Ridge Forrester as soon as she laid eyes on him while catering a Forrester party. Unfortunately, he was engaged to Caroline Spencer, and Brooke conspired with Thorne Forrester to keep them apart. Brooke managed to get Ridge into bed and became pregnant, but she lost the baby, and Ridge went back to Caroline. Brooke turned to Eric Forrester for comfort and they tied the knot after she became pregnant with his son, Rick Forrester. When Ridge later fell in love with Taylor Hayes, Brooke tried to interrupt their wedding to claim she was pregnant with his child, but she was actually carrying Eric’s daughter, Bridget.
After failing to blackmail Ridge into leaving Taylor, Brooke was briefly married to Grant Chambers and then grew interested in Thorne. Following that, she had an affair with Bridget’s husband, Deacon Sharpe, which resulted in the birth of Hope Logan. Oh, and in the middle of that affair, Brooke tried to cover it up by marrying yet another man, Whip Jones! After Taylor’s death, Brooke got Ridge back, but slept with his brother, Nick Marone, while Ridge was temporarily presumed dead. That resulted in the birth of R.J. Forrester (Ridge Junior), although it was later revealed that he was really Ridge’s son.
When Taylor returned from the dead, she and Brooke resumed their back-and-forth with Ridge. And while Taylor was with Nick, they learned that Jack, the child they had together was made with Brooke’s donated eggs! Brooke accidentally had sex with Hope’s boyfriend, Oliver Jones, at a party believing him to be Ridge under the mask. Then, while stranded on an island with Thomas Forrester, believed she’d also had sex with him!
Next on Brooke’s list was Bill Spencer, who was married to her sister, Katie, at the time. They tried to cut off their affair to spare Katie’s feelings, as she was already suffering from postpartum depression, but they were publicly exposed and Katie was devastated. When Ridge returned home, he struck up a relationship with Katie, and it was Brooke’s turn to be jealous. She very nearly married Bill but Ridge interrupted the wedding to expose the groom’s affair with Quinn Fuller. Bill took revenge by throwing Ridge out of a helicopter, and Brooke was hurt that Ridge turned to Caroline Spencer.
Rejected by Ridge, Brooke turned to alcohol and found comfort with Deacon, who helped her by joining her at AA meetings. She then grew closer to Ridge when he revealed he’d left Caroline since Thomas was the father of her baby. However, working with Bill at Spencer Publications sparked old feelings, though Brooke didn’t want to hurt Katie again. But after Katie divorced Bill, Brooke had no problems walking down the aisle with him again. Ridge stopped that wedding and won Brooke back, though their plan to marry in Australia was canceled when Brooke found out he’d kissed Quinn!
Brooke ended up back with Bill for a while but dumped him over his ruthless business practices trying to destroy Spectra. She and Ridge rekindled their romance, and agreed to re-marry. However, the couple butted heads when they supported opposite sides in Bill and Katie’s ugly custody battle over Will. They also were at odds when Thomas pursued and married Hope, but were able to maintain their marriage even as they argued about how dangerous Thomas really was.
Brooke grew jealous as Ridge became close with Shauna Fulton, but it was actually her kiss with Bill that caused the breakup when it was exposed at Brooke and Ridge’s reunion party! Ridge dumped her and went to Vegas with Shauna as Brooke fought with Quinn, who had been the one to leak the video of the kiss. Upon bringing Ridge home, Brooke managed to persuade him to work on their marriage but that was ruined when Ridge later informed her that he had married Shauna in Vegas!
Suspecting Shauna and Quinn of being in cahoots, Brooke confronted them and vowed they weren’t going to ruin her future with Ridge. But it proved to be an uphill battle as Quinn persuaded Bill to continue to pursue Brooke and urged Shauna to have an official wedding with Ridge! However, when the big day came, Ridge couldn’t go through with marrying Shauna because he still loved Brooke.
Brooke was reluctant to join the other Logan women in forgiving Flo and welcoming her into the family. She also lashed out at Steffy for sleeping with Liam and ruining her marriage to Hope. Things with Ridge were generally good, but they continued to butt heads over Thomas as she remained unconvinced that he’d really changed his ways where Hope was concerned. Not a big fan of Eric and Quinn’s marriage, Brooke didn’t want to see them renew their vows, and when she found out Quinn had cheated on him with Carter, she made sure the affair was exposed at the renewal ceremony! When Eric eventually took Quinn back, Brooke tried to talk him out of it — and even tried pushing Donna back in his direction — but his mind was made up.
Brooke was stunned when Hope invited Deacon back into her life when he was released from prison but when Ridge took a hard line against the ex-con, Brooke found herself softening her stance seeing how much Hope wanted to reconnect with her father. Brooke was also taken aback when Taylor resurfaced, but tried to make nice with her former rival. However, Sheila was fed up with Brooke pushing her around and tricked the alcoholic into drinking real champagne on New Year’s Eve. With Ridge out of town on business, Brooke spend the holiday drinking with Deacon, which ultimately led to vodka shots… and a kiss!
Realizing what she’d done, Brooke quickly confessed to Ridge that she’d fallen off the wagon, but claimed she’d been drinking alone. Naturally, the truth about her kissing Deacon came out and Brooke was heartbroken when Ridge sought comfort in Taylor’s arms. Deacon tried to convince her to give up on Ridge and perhaps give them another try but Brooke remained determined to fix things with her husband. After Sheila was revealed as the one who had shot Steffy and killed Finn, Ridge was also stunned to discover she’d been behind Brooke’s fall off the wagon. When he shared the news with her, Brooke invited Ridge to move back in but he didn’t… at least not right away. He was staying at Eric’s until Brooke broke her ankle during a power outage and then he moved back in to help her.
Brooke was able to forgive Ridge when he admitted to sharing a kiss with Taylor in Monaco but refused to let Thomas steal Douglas away from Hope. And when Child Protective Services investigated Thomas, it was revealed that Brooke had placed the call to the agency. She insisted she was innocent, but Ridge declared their marriage over. Both Deacon and Bill made moves on the newly-single blonde, but she insisted Ridge was the only man for her.
Brooke had her sisters and father around for support on the day Ridge was supposed to be marrying Taylor, but then he showed up later to reveal that Thomas had faked the call to frame Brooke. Although glad to finally be vindicated, she told Ridge she was tired of the constant back and forth. And Taylor agreed, joining in on blasting Ridge for all the pain he’d put them through over the years. This led to an unexpected new friendship between Brooke and Taylor as they supported each other for a change!
When Paul Hollister flirted with Brooke, Taylor pushed her new gal pal into accepting a date with the younger hunk. But after a lovely evening with Hollis, Brooke realized she wasn’t yet ready to begin dating again. When Steffy hired Thomas back at Forrester to work on saving Hope for the Future, Brooke warned him not to hurt her daughter again. She was also completely confused as to why Bill was insisting that he was in love with Sheila! (It was all a scam to trick her into confessing to murder.)
When things started heating up again between her and Ridge, Brooke tried to stay loyal to her friendship with Taylor by not pursuing her ex, but still continued to turn down Hollis. When Taylor found out about Brooke and Ridge’s dinner date, she angrily confronted her “friend” and their truce fell apart as quickly as it was established. Taylor accused Brooke of never changing, and Brooke accused Taylor of trying to push her towards Hollis and Deacon so she could have Ridge for herself. When Forrester Creations flew to Rome on business, Brooke went along and the city reignited the romance between her and Ridge.
Brooke was delighted when her son, RJ, came home again, but was concerned about Hope’s growing closeness to Thomas. And she was horrified to discover Hope and Thomas in bed together!
