Thad Luckinbill Returns to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS!

Tags:

A familiar face is coming home to Genoa City when Thad Luckinbill returns to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as J.T. Hellstrom in the episode scheduled to air on Tuesday, Dec. 12! And because the soap tapes about a month ahead, by mid-November the actor was back on set so the soap could tease his return with a photo of him and Doug Davidson (Paul)!

The soap announced the news at the beginning of November with a special promo video posted to their Instagram account promising: “All Hellstrom is gonna break loose!” In the clip, Luckinbill’s J.T. says in voiceover: “Sometimes after you leave, you realize you’re not done with what you left behind.”

Luckinbill made his debut on Y&R back in 1999 and appeared on a recurring basis before being put on contract in 2002. During this time, he also made appearances on primetime series like BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYERS, 8 SIMPLE RULES, NIP/TUCK, and CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION. After Luckinbill left Y&R, he had a recurring role on the CW series NIKITA opposite former Y&R castmate Lyndsy Fonseca (ex-Colleen). More recently, he and his twin brother Trent have started a production company called Black Label Media that has helped produce critically-acclaimed films like Sicario and La La Land.

In 2007, Luckinbill married his Y&R co-star, Amelia Heinle (Victoria), while their characters were also married on the soap. They have two children together, but sadly filed for divorce in March of 2017.

The last Y&R viewers saw of J.T., he and Mac had gotten engaged and moved to Washington D.C. with Reed in 2010. However, Reed recently returned to live with his mother, Victoria and left his father behind. Is Reed what brings J.T. back to Genoa City, or is it something else?
