“Debbie, you were a dear friend of many years who will be greatly missed,” tweeted GUIDING LIGHT star Ron Raines (Alan), sharing a photo of them starring together in the US tour of The Unsinkable Molly Brown in 1990. “RIP Debbie. Loved you. Loved being your J.J. Brown.”

GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Amber Tamblyn (ex-Emily) shared an old photo of her father, Russ Tamblyn, with Reynolds in the 1955 film Hit the Deck. “My father is heartbroken,” she reported. “Debbie was a close friend. He left her a message yesterday. He didn’t get to say goodbye. Please, 2016. Enough.”

Kate Linder (Esther, Y&R) shared a photo of herself with Reynolds at one of the many celebrity events they both attended. “My love and thoughts are with Debbie Reynolds’ family,” she posted. “How sad and how lucky we were to have her all of these years.”

Reynolds’ death came only one day after her daughter, Carrie Fisher, passed away. When that news broke, GH’s James Patrick Stuart (Valentin) shared, “I knew Carrie Fisher for over 20 years. We did a play together. Incredible verbal skills, wanderlust, loyalty, humor. She was greatness.”

Our thoughts are with Reynolds’ and Fisher’s family and friends during this difficult time.
