Morgan Is Out, Too!

Debbi Morgan‘s days of playing THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Harmony are coming to an end. On the heels of the news that Marcy Rylan (Abby) and Genie Francis (Genevieve) have been let go by the soap, Morgan has announced that she has been fired as well.

“To all my twitter fans,” Morgan posted last night. “Wanted to B the first to tell you the new regime has let me go from Y&R. Will tape my last show Oct. 5th & I move on!”

The ALL MY CHILDREN alum was cast on Y&R as Devon’s mother before the ABC soap even aired its final broadcast. While many had high hopes for Morgan’s incarnation of the character previously called Yolanda, her storyline unfortunately floundered despite the reveal of Tucker being Devon’s biological father. The exits of Francis, Rylan and Morgan come just as the Y&R cast is beginning to shoot the scenes written by new scribe Josh Griffith (his episodes begin to air on October 12), and Soaps In Depth hears that there may still be more cast cuts to come. A spokesperson for Y&R reminds that they do not comment on contracts.
