Is Hilary Pregnant on The Young and The Restless?

After all her scheming and plotting, Hilary Curtis surprised everyone on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS by revealing that her true dream was to become a mommy. But there’s been quite a bit of back and forth that have left some fans wondering is Hilary pregnant? Let’s break it down for you…

Hilary had hit a low point, with her career floundering and naked pictures of herself being leaked online after her schemes fell apart. But she turned her life around by making her TV series more upbeat and empowering and cleaning up her own act as well. After a Christmas episode where she broke down while reading letters to Santa from poor children, Hilary confessed to Devon that what she really wanted out of life was to have a child.

Wanting her baby to have the best father, Hilary considered possible sperm donors, including Ravi, who Phyllis had set her up on a date with. But he wasn’t ready to become a dad at this point in his life. The fertility drugs she’d been taking affected Hilary’s personality making her bitchier than ever, and worrying about what could go wrong with the process, decided to wait until she was in love and married before starting a family.

After an on-air apology and promise to be a better person, Hilary then set her sights on winning back Devon or at least convincing him to be the father of her baby. Unfortunately, he informed her that was never going to happen. But after seeing Hilary mentoring a troubled teen named Shauna, Devon began to soften towards her and finally agreed.

When Lily schemed to keep her brother from fathering her rival’s baby, Hilary was devastated and feared she’d lost her opportunity to be inseminated. This led to Devon comforting her… right into bed! Hilary was elated to find that she was pregnant after their night together, but after sharing the big news on the air, learned it was a false positive. She secretly went to the doctor to be inseminated with Devon’s sperm only to have him show up to her appointment not realizing what it was for. Overwhelmed with guilt, Hilary did the right thing and told Devon the truth which left him so pleasantly surprised he gave her the go-ahead to use his sperm to have a baby.

Although the exes originally planned to use artificial insemination to create their child, all those old feelings came back and they attempted to make a baby the old fashioned way! Unfortunately, that ended up not working, but a subsequent trip to the doctor proved successful and she was artificially inseminated, making her dream finally a reality!

Unfortunately, although it would seem that the pregnancy was written into her storyline since Morgan later revealed that she is pregnant in real-life, with her also annoucing her departure from the soap, it doesn’t seem as though Hilary’s pregnancy will have a happy ending after all.
