Helen on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS — Everything You Need to Know!

A shocking reveal on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS may have some fans wondering who is Helen? She only appeared in one episode of the soap back in February, but now, much to everyone’s surprise, she’s back in April with a big announcement!

Back in the Feb. 13 episode, Helen Wallace was introduced to Y&R when Jack hired the chemist to come work at Jabot, taking Ashley’s place in the company. Naturally, Ashley was a little perturbed, but it was Gloria who seemed the most upset over the new hire, fearing that the lovely woman would steal Jack’s eye away from her. Although now it seems that she had nothing to worry about, as it wasn’t Jack who Helen ended up having a relationship with!

Helen is played by Sitara Hewitt, who back in February expressed her joy at joining the cast. “Feeling blessed to be playing new girl Helen in Genoa City,” she tweeted. “Thanks for the warm welcome to Y&R.” The actress has appeared in primetime series like CRIMINAL MINDS and starred in the CBS series LITTLE MOSQUE ON THE PRAIRIE as Dr. Rayyan Hamoudi. She can also be seen in films like Torment and Mikael. The native of Toronto, Canada, is a classically trained dancer and has done extensive modeling work. Hewitt’s parents, Kenneth and Farida, are both doctors who did field research in the Himalayas where she spent time as a child.

Whether this reveal will mean more screen time for Hewitt as Helen’s role on Y&R increases, or if this is just another brief appearance, only time will tell. So stay tuned to see how the story unfolds, and for more Y&R news, keep reading the CBS edition of Soaps In Depth magazine!
