Doug Davidson Reveals When He’ll Be Back on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS

Tags:

Fans of Doug Davidson were excited when he returned to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as Paul Williams in March of 2019 after a lengthy absence that had some worried he was off the soap permanently. Unfortunately, after his initial return, Paul’s appearances became extremely sporadic with Davidson popping up about once a month or so. “I miss being there,” he admitted on Twitter. But the actor continues to keep fans up to date on when they can expect to see him on screen again and Paul should be back for the holidays. “Paul sighting update!” he shared on Instagram. “The latest information I have is Paul will be seen the 23rd with Chance and the 24th with Lauralee Bell (Christine), Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren), and Christian LeBlanc (Michael)! We had a blast!”

Back in February when the news of his return to Y&R broke, the actor tweeted his gratitude to his fans. “Okay!” he admitted. “So, the cat is out of the bag. None of any of this would happen without all of your undying loyalty, support, and kindness. All of you are the reason Paul is back on the canvas. Thank you so much. Eric Braeden (Victor) has been incredible the entire time. A huge thanks to him as well!” Braeden shared his excitement about Davidson’s return to Genoa City when he tweeted a picture with his longtime co-star captioned: “He’s back!”

In September of 2018, Y&R fans were upset when Paul’s appearances on the soap appeared to come to an end and Davidson admitted he had “no dates scheduled” for the foreseeable future. As the longest-tenured cast member on Y&R, Davidson has quite a history in Genoa City and is beloved by his loyal fans. And when he returned to the CBS studio for work, he couldn’t resist sharing a snap on his Instagram. “Okay,” he admitted, “it did feel like home.”

“Honestly, you are all so amazing,” a grateful Davidson expressed to his fans for their support. “I am beyond humbled. I love you all. Peace be with all of you.”

With all the crime in Genoa City, you’d think the chief of police would be kept a lot busier than this, but hopefully, Davidson’s fans will be happy to continue seeing the daytime vet on their screens for a long time to come.
