When someone started trying to kill Quinn on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, there was no shortage of suspects! Sheila Carter made her surprising return, but despite her past crimes, claims to have turned over a new leaf. This has led some viewers have begun to suspect that the person out to get Quinn is her former partner in crime, Deacon Sharpe! But if you’re not familiar with the character, let us fill you in on his adventures that have taken him all the way from B&B to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and back again!
Deacon has been played by Sean Kanan since his debut on B&B back in 2000, though the character has come and gone many times over the years (usually to and from prison!). Deacon was the biological father of Little Eric, the child being raised by Amber and Rick. Although offered a hefty sum to give up his parental rights, Deacon fought for custody of his son. He also tried to seduce Amber away from Rick for good measure, despite his relationship with Bridget.

Deacon was eager to prove to Bridget that he was a good man, and the pair even tied the knot, though he had a secret affair with her mother, Brooke, and fathered her daughter, Hope! After being run out of town, Deacon returned to try and be a part of Hope’s life while Brooke was with Nick. He also married Macy and had an affair with Jackie that led to his downfall. A jealous Massimo laced the alcoholic’s drinks, forcing Deacon to fall off the wagon and leave town.
Years later, Deacon showed up in Genoa City and ran roughshod over the entire city! He slept with Victoria, sold some stolen art, and kidnapped Amber! After getting out of prison, Deacon got a job at Gloworm and had a fling with Phyllis. He got into a relationship with fellow alcoholic Nikki, much to the disapproval of her family. After Nikki fell off the wagon, Deacon blackmailed her into marrying him, threatening to reveal she’d killed Diane.

Later, Bill tracked down Deacon in prison to bring him back to Los Angeles and get him to help keep Liam and Hope from getting married. But learning how much his daughter loved Liam, Deacon was reluctant to go through with the scheme. Though he went through with it, Deacon later threatened to tell the couple that Bill was behind the whole plan.
Deacon grew close with Quinn after they teamed up to bring Hope and Wyatt back together. He even rescued Quinn when Bill urged the distraught woman to commit suicide. As their relationship deepened, Quinn grew jealous of Deacon and Brooke, though he was honestly just helping his fellow alcoholic kick the habit. Deacon professed his love to Quinn, and the two were briefly married.

They broke up off-camera, but Deacon returned as Quinn was holding an amnesiac Liam in her cabin. When he threatened to expose her crazy scheme, Quinn pushed Deacon off a cliff into the ocean! But he survived and later returned to warn Quinn that her new relationship with Eric was doomed. Deacon faded into the woodwork and it was later revealed that he’d left Los Angeles, but now he's back! Has he come blazing back to the frontburner with an axe to grind? Or maybe a gun to fire?
