Tyler Christopher Says Goodbye to DAYS OF OUR LIVES
The character of Stefan DiMera is getting a new look as Tyler Christopher is leaving DAYS OF OUR LIVES and the role is being recast with another GENERAL HOSPITAL alum, Brandon Barash. Christopher took to Twitter to express his gratitude to everyone for their support. “Thank you for all the kind farewells,” he said. “My time on DAYS was nothing short of pure fun. Such a great group of people to work for and be around every day. Please welcome Brandon Barash into the role. Such a solid actor and an even better person. Thank you, [headwriter] Ron Carlivati, for yet again trusting my instincts for character. What a guy that Stefan. It was an honor to bring him to life for you.”
Christopher made his DAYS debut in December of 2017 as the previously-unknown son of Vivian Alamain and legendary supervillain Stefano DiMera. But after just over a year in the role, he has stepped down. During his time on DAYS, Christopher has been able to moonlight a little, with roles in the films The Other Mother, Pretty Broken, and F.R.E.D.I. as well as the upcoming Max Winslow and the House of Secrets.

Barash, who portrayed Johnny Zaccara on GH, has stepped into the role of Stefan DiMera with guns blazing, although DAYS has not made any official announcements as to whether this recast is temporary or permanent.
