DAYS’ Jade Harlow Visits The ZOO

Jade Harlow (ex-Sheryl, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) guest stars tonight on ZOO, the CBS summer series based on the James Patterson novel of the same name. “The shortest way to describe it is to say it’s an ‘animal apocalypse,'” Harlow says of the show’s premise. Anissa, Harlow’s character, plays a pro-animal advocate who has always valued animal lives over human ones. Not surprisingly, she comes into conflict with Jackson Oz (played by James Wolk), the zoologist who is trying to uncover the reason why animals have been behaving so strangely.

“I got to work with almost everybody in the cast,” Harlow enthuses. “It was a blast! There are a lot of great one-liners that point out Anissa’s way of thinking and why people don’t agree with it.” Coincidentally, the actress had read the Patterson novel prior to being cast on the show. “The book is very different from the show,” she reports. “The producers have taken the story and made it even better. They really enrich it.”

The show was shot in New Orleans, which Harlow says was “awesome. The people there are so production-friendly and savvy. The cast was great. The chemistry you see among everyone is real.”
